-----All Saints Day --2008
What we shall be has not yet been revealed. 1 John 3:2
Let us Pray
God our Father
Source of all holiness,
The work of your hands is manifest in your saints,
The beauty of your truth is reflected in their faith
May we aspire to have part in their joy
Be filled with the Spirit that blessed their lives,
So that having shared their faith on earth
We may also know their peace in your kingdom
..
-------A peaceful evening on Lake Mutanda-2008--compliments of me
In her book, “The Mystery of Death”, the theologian Dorothee Soelle writes:
“These days of November…. Make me remember. They send me to the cemetery, at least inwardly. They make me aware that I am not the giver of my own life. Into the cloak of my life is woven all the affection and tenderness of the people who are no longer here and whom I remember”
At mass this AM, Father John Vianney gave us a lesson on All Saints Day. He reminded me that the Church doesn’t “make a Saint, it simply “recognizes” them, sometimes after years and years of study..
---------Fall 2008 in Pa..---compliment of Cousin George
Today I am remembering and thanking all the Saints in my life who have helped weave the cloak of my life (my friend Mary Johns once referred to it as the tapestry of my life).
First and foremost---my parents---Helen and Hugh McGee
My sister-----Coleen
All My Friends: Sonny, Becky, Mary Lou, Mrs, Marjorie Rothera,, Uncle Bud and Ed. All the numerous friends I have lost from AIDS and most recently my dear friends Teresa Wilson and James Anderson
“Our songs of praise do not avail them, nor do they need our honours, nor anything our service can offer. Surely we are the ones to benefit, when we venerate their memory.
I CONFESS THAT AT THE THOUGHT OF THEM, I AM CONSUMED WITH A LOVING DESIRE TO BE WITH THEM”
--------------Old Mill Park-on a rainy Spring Day--Little Rock Arkansas
-----------------compliments of Louis and Paul
I am also remembering and thanking all the Saints in my life that still walk the earth. Though there are too many to enumerate, I especially thank Baby Michael, my niece Heather, my friends: Carol, Carolyn, Bonnie Cynthia , both Marys (you know who you are), Dr. Gladys, Rebecca, Lynn ,Jennifer Joan, The Bills ( old and new-smile), Damian ,Jacques, Br. Bob, Scott, Brian, Eric, Sheba, Bert, Robina, Msgr. Bevard, Fr.s John Vianney and Fr.Thorn (you know who you are) and cousin George.
Thank you for the beautiful strands of thread you have woven into the tapestry of my life
All Saint’s Day urges each of us to have hope even though the future “has not yet been revealed”. We do not know how or when our death will be, but we do know the strengthening. blessings we’ve received from those who once journeyed with us in this life. Sr. Joyce Rupp, O.S.M.
HAPPY FEAST DAY TO YOU ALL!

I am so proud to be a part of the tapestry of your life!
Thank you for for this blog which allowed me to go through my very own "inward walk" and bring such loving memories into my heart. I do very much miss those who have gone on to the Heavens and recognize them as saints in my life.
Peace & Blessings, -clw

Well, my dear friend, your the whole cotton-pickin' fringe on the ends of my tapestry that kept my threads from shredding apart in my life. Tee-Hee. I lit a candle for all our friends and one for you who is already and always a saint in my heart. Love you girl, one of the Mary's (sunshine)

Thank you for your acknowledgement of those that have SO blessed our lives. I went to church this morning and My beloved James was acknowledged as well. I thank you for weaving your life into the tapestry of my life and being a monumental part of James' journey. May we ALL remember those that have gone on before us and those that are here amongst us now.
An Arkansas love sent your way.

I feel honoured and humbled to be counted in that innumerable list of those "saints" who have been part of your life. But You know what? I am not in agreement with St.Bernard's comment for I am not in hurry my dear. You understand? Smile! Thorn
